Who we are 

The EIRIS Foundation is a registered charity (No. 1020068) and a company (No. 206874) registered in England and Wales working in the area of responsible investment.  

The EIRIS Foundation is committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy.  This privacy policy sets out the type of information we collect, what we use it for and the rights that you have in relation to this information. 

The EIRIS Foundation is registered under the Data Protection Act 1998 under registration number ZA274714. 

The information we collect 

We process personal information to enable us to communicate with those who may be interested in our research and other work or to carry out our research into responsible investment, corporate responsibility or attitudes to the same; to promote services that advance responsible investment or corporate responsibility that we or others provide; to administer records of supporters; to fundraise and promote the interests of the charity; manage our employees and volunteers and; maintain our own accounts and records. 

We process information relevant to the above reasons/purposes. This may include:

Who we will share your information with 

We will not sell your details to third parties or share them with other charities. 

We may sometimes share your information with our trusted service providers who perform services and functions on our behalf to support our interactions with you.  

We may also share information with organisations we work with in partnership to provide our services and further our mission. The organisations that we partner with may change from time to time.  We vet the organisations that we work with, and when passing your information to such organisations, will ensure that they maintain appropriate measures to protect the security of your personal data. 

We may also have to disclose your information in order that we comply with a legal obligation imposed on us. 

Where we will store your information 

Your information will be stored in the EEA, unless we expressly state that we need to transfer your data outside of the EEA for a purpose connected with our work. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy. 

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk.
